Dear Colleague, on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, I have the pleasure to announce you that PST 2009, the

XIII International Workshop on Polarized Sources, Targets & Polarimetry

will be held in Ferrara (Italy) on September 07-11, 2009.

This Workshop, which is sponsored by the International Spin Physics Committee, has been hosted for more than 20 years, regularly circulating between the USA, Europe and Japan. Although dedicated Meetings exist for some of the fields covered, the Workshop is meant to give a general, but comprehensive view of the technology involved in the polarization experiments and applications. In order to encourage discussions and exchange of informations between the different, but related fields we will try to avoid the introduction of parallel sessions. The schedule will include round-table discussions of the basic limitations of various polarization techniques and possible paths for future progress. Visibility will be given to new ideas and proposals.

The topics that we plan to cover in the Workshop include:
- Polarized Electron Sources
- Polarized Proton and Deuterium Sources
- Polarized Internal Targets
- Polarized 3He Ion Sources and Targets
- Polarimetry (e, p, d) at Low and High Energy
- Polarized antiprotons
- Polarized Solid Targets

The site of the conference will be Camera di Commercio, Largo Castello 10, just in front of the Ferrara Castle.
Participants who intend to give a presentation are invited to submit an abstract before June, 30th to pst2009@fe.infn.it. All the contributions will be published after the Workshop and one copy of the Proceedings will be sent out to all the registered participants.
The registration fee, amounts to 250.00 Euro if payed before July, 31st and 300.00 Euro for payment at the Conference Desk. Deadline for registration is August 31st.
