Dear Gemc User,

This is a bundled version of the CLAS12 simulation program Gemc. Details for this code can be
found on the wiki at http://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/CLAS12_Software

This version of gemc for the Mac includes a copy of the Qt frameworks (see http://qt.nokia.com).
It will use this included version of Qt irrespective of the version of Qt you have installed
on your system.

The Gemc program also includes a copy of the needed GEANT4 libraries and data files,
which take up a lot of space, almost 500 MB. If you already have these files on your
system, you can link them into gem.app/Contents/Resources and same some space, or you
can delete them from gem.app/Contents/Resources and instead make sure your GEANT4
environment is setup properly.

You can run gemc.app by double clicking on it, or for the experts, from a terminal by executing:

/Applications/gemc.app/Contents/MacOS/gemc.sh

which can be followed by arguments.

If you run the code and not the script (i.e. the above without the .sh), then you must
have the correct environment setup, which must include the GEANT4 data files.

To rebuild this code for the Mac using Xcode, see the wiki.
