Scientific activities of the Ferrara particle group:
The main goal of CSN1 is to study the interactions of the fundamental constituents of matter through experiments with particle accelerators. Current research aims to reach a deeper understanding of the Standard Model, the theory that defines out current knowledge of subnuclear physics, as well as the search for new phenomena that surpass predictions. An example is the search for supersymmetric particles which are candidates to constitute the dark matter that we know to be prevalent in the cosmos.
